Path: Insert Constraint Animate Constraint
Located on the Constraint toolbar.

Use this to ...
• Animate a constraint and review the resulting effects. This function helps you see how varying a dimension affects the geometry and other constraints.

Prerequisites
• You must be in the Sketcher workbench.

Process: Creating an Animated Constraint
1. Select Insert Constraint Animate Constraint.
2. In the Graphics window, pick a dimensional constraint. The Animate Constraint dialog displays.

Options
First Value
Defaults to the current value of the selected dimensional constraint. Change to any other value to define the first dimensional boundary of the animation.

Last Value
Defaults to double the current value of the selected dimensional constraint. Change to any other value to define the last dimensional boundary of the animation.

Number of steps
Defines the number of iterations in the animation steps between the First Value and the Last Value. A higher number of steps result in a slower animation speed.

Actions
Defines which way the animation runs.

Run Back Animation
Runs the animation from the second value to the first.
Pause Animation
Pauses the animation at the current step.
Stop Animation
Stops the animation and sets the constraint back to the first value.
Run Animation
Runs the animation from the first value to the second.
Options
Sets how the animation loops.

One Shot
Plays the animation once.
Reverse
Plays the animation from the first value to the second and then back down to the first value.
Loop
Plays the animation continuously from the first value to the second and then back to the first value.
Repeat
Plays the animation continuously from the first value to the second.
Hide the constraints
Hides the constraints when the animation runs.
