Process: Creating Pads using Profile Definition
1. Select Insert Sketch-Based Features Pad. The Pad Definition dialog displays.
2. In the Selection text box, right–click to display the pop-up menu.

3. Select Go to profile definition from the pop-up menu. The Profile Definition dialog displays.

4. Activate Sub-elements. In the Graphics window, pick the part of the sketch to extrude.
5. Click OK. The Pad Definition dialog displays.
6. In the Type list, select Dimension.

7. In the Length text box, enter a value.
8. Click OK to create the pad.
