Process: Creating Pads using Along a Set Direction
1. Select Insert Sketch-Based Features Pad. The Pad Definition dialog displays.
2. In the Graphics window, pick the profile.
Or
In the Specification Tree, select the sketch.
3. In the Type list, select Dimension.

4. In the Length text box, enter a value.
5. Click More>> to expand the dialog box.

6. Deactivate Normal to profile.

7. In the Graphics window, pick an element that defines the reference direction.
8. Click OK to create the pad in the selected direction.
